Marlon Brando came to hollywod with a totaly different style. No-one else wore T-Shirtsand Jeans in their movies. And No-one else could ever act as well as him. Brando is responsible for the way acting looks like it does today, he totaly reinvented it. And "A Streetcar Named Desire" was the first movie that made him become probably the greatest actor of all time.
In New Orleans a woman named Blanche DuBois, wonderfully played by Vivien Leigh, comes to visit her sister, she is introduced to her new husband Stanley (Marlon Brando). But directly after the two first meet Stanley starts suspecting that something is wrong with the girl.
Pretty mutch the whole movie takes place in a small appartment where the three character live together. The movie has some outstanding dialouge and a tight and intresting script that makes you unable to take your eyes of the screen. The directing is great as well and Brando stands there in his T-Shirt.
