El Mariachi was Robert Rodriguez' breakout movie. He made it dirt cheap, I'm talking $10k dirt cheap or something ridiculous. It's surprisingly good. It's a decent mistaken identity action movie.

I watch it to practice my Spanish. DVDs are great for this because I can play the scene over and over again and the language is realistic.

Most Hollwyood DVDs come with Spanish language tracks and subtitles, but there is a big problem. They don't match. Separate groups do the dubbing and translating. So the actor might shout "Run!" while the text says "Get out of here!" or something like that. If you are learning then that's very confusing. It's best when the text matches the audio perfectly.
