This shows how different things were in the 70's as far as moviemaking goes. This would be too brutal a movie for many to watch I imagine. As a horror buff I enjoyed it's unpredictability.

Greatest horror debut ever. While Craven may have went Hollywood and produced a string of forgettable hits and flops, he shined in his early low-budget classics.
