This movie is so great it is the start of a great movie series but the only thing wrong in it is that in some parts of the movie there are some boring parts in it.

The book was great but this film in the politest term possible sucked. Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint were both largely unconvincing and seemed out of touch with the characters they were playing. The real stars of the movie were Tom Felton and Emma Watson, who were both stunning in their portrayal of Draco Malfoy and Hermione Granger respectively. I shudder to think what this movie would have been like with out these young actors who really gave this movies it's atmosphere. Yet is still seem very lacklusture and I could only bring myself to give it one and a half stars.

As i said in another review, I'm barely a Harry potter fan, I'm very close to hating the whole franchise. But this movie is very well done, a lot better than the 4th and 5th one.
It's a very good fantasy/family movie.

I was literally sucked into the world of Harrry Potter with this first film. I wanted to be there! Although I bought the novels, I did not read any of them unitl after the 5th or 6 th book. When I did, I felt that this adaptation was one of the best. There is so much, to do any of the novels just, the movie would be extremely long, or there would need to be probably three movies for each book. WATCH IT!!!!

This has been the best movie in comparison to the book! It was so close to the book that it was great. The quidditch game was different and Snape's potions weren't involved to get to the stone but it was still the closest and possibly the best.

I enjoy watching this one because you can compare it to the book. I know Sorcerer's Stone isn't the most exciting of the books but the movie was so well done!

I love it, though it falls into the pit of a lot of time in the intro of Harry. I know it's needed but much like the first Spiderman film, it takes away from what you want to see, Hogwarts and the wizarding world at large.
