This is Monty Python Team's best movie yet. With many plot twists, funny gags and animation. Monty Python and the Holy Grail will always be a landmark in British comedy history.

It is Monty Python's take on the story of King Arthur and his knights of the round table, and not only is it funny in almost every way, the acting is solid and the concept is brilliant.

The film didn't have a large budget. Because of this, they include cheap main titles along with humorous subtitles thrown in more good measure. Not to mention the bizzare way of ending the film. No credits whatsoever, and thats one of the main reasons why I really like this film.

You are not a fan of Monty Python until you've seen this classic. Any fan of british comedy needs to see this film. A comedy classic.

There are many great comedies available for one to see. Each comedy has its own flavor. Some comedy movies tend to have a serious plot like romance comedies. Some comedies are movies which make fun of previous movies such as Spaceballs which makes fun of Star Wars. While some comedy movies are just plain silly. Monty Python and The Holy Grail is one of these comedies. This movie is a great comedy if one likes silly things. The movie is set in the middle ages. A mythical time where unimaginable beasts exist and the plague affects many people who live in this time. The main character is King Arthur (king of the Britons). He starts off his quest on a search for knights to join his round table. Though many odd and dangerous adventures he finds a group worthy of his round table. Then his knights are set on the quest to find the Holy Grail by God. They all split up and each has perilous and funny adventures. Each character in the movie is dressed up in either shining metal armor or rugged peasant clothes. The clothes stand out during the witch trial part of the movie. King Arthur stands with his shining metal armor within a crowd of peasants wearing cloth caps and dirty robes. The music is also of a medieval theme with the sounds one would normally hear during the time period such as the song one hears as soon as King Arthur appears. The lighting changes from scene to scene, but tends to have a light summer feel. An example of this lighting appears when King Arthur and his knights build their Trojan rabbit. The actors play their role with energy and dig into their characters. This is seen during the bridge of death scene where the question maker asks the question, “What is your favorite color?� and Sir Galahad replies, “blue, no yellow!� as he is plunged into the dark pit. This movie fits the genre as a comedy. There are many ways in which it does this. A good example would be during the scene where King Arthur faces off with the black knight. King Arthur slices off the black knight’s arm and says, “now stand aside worthy adversary.� The black knight replies, “’tis but a scratch.� Then King Arthur replies “a scratch? Your arm’s off.� And later the black knight replies, “I’ve had worse�. This conversation from the movie explains how silly the movie can be. Even though the black knight’s arm is clearly cut off the black knight refuses to admit how bad it is. A normal person would scream in pain while the black knight in the movie doesn’t seem to care. His reaction is so out of the ordinary that one can’t help, but laugh at the silly event taken place. I feel that this movie is a fantastic comedy. It may not have much drama or romance, but it will generate plenty of laughs. There are many adventures and many funny events to take place in the movie. The abnormal events that take place inspire me to laugh over and over again. This movie is a must see for the person who loves to laugh. I enjoy the acting and I feel like the actors portray real people in the movies, because their emotions and speech fit the events that take place. Instead of King Arthur laughing when the black knight says it’s only a scratch he stays serious and ready to fight. I also enjoyed the costumes each of the characters has. They all have different logos on their suits and shields which describes the wearer. Sir Robin who cowers when it gets slightly scary has a chicken on his shield which describes his personality perfectly. I recommend any future viewers of this movie to watch it with only the expectation of laughs. I also suggest future viewers to not take the movie very seriously relax and have a few laughs.

I have to say that "Monty Python and The Holy Grail" is one of the funniest movies i´ve ever seen. In pretty much every scene there is something hilarious, if it´s a long conversation about birds or animators who suffers heart attacks, it kept me laughing the whole way through. This is Monty Python at their best, they show that a low budget film can be entertaining like not many other. The acting is great, fantastic timing. The script is funny as I mentioned. If there is something though that I didn´t like it is the directing. It wasn´t bad but not good either, but sill, with sutch a hilarious script and great actors, this is a movie you wont forget.

It had me in stitches all the way through. There are just so many ridiculous moments such as the black knight and his refusal to give-up the fight, the rude Frenchman atop a castle, and of course the ferocious killer rabbit. If it actually had money in production it probably wouldn't have that rugged ridiculous look to it. Its just pure British comedy gold all the way through. The performances of all the Pythons are as usual brilliantly done and each of them adds something different to it. I love this film. Its definitely my favourite comedy out there - I'm a huge fan of over-the-top ridiculousness, and if you are too then you won't find a better film anywhere.

Monty Phython and the Holy Grail is one of the funniest films I have ever watched, and definetely one of my all-time favourite films. Randomness has never been this well-written- or this well executed. Monty Phython and the Holy Grail is the ultimate spoof comedy with a difference.

What's different from Monty Phython from most spoof comedies out there is that these jokes have a real reason for why they are funny, wheras most comedies like this don't. Holy Grail's main intention is create modern satires and twists on the histroric accounts, and it's done with sheer brilliance.

Deceitfully droll in some places, but offers a solidly done and absolutely hilarious tale of knights searching for the Holy Grail. From beginning to end this movie has plenty of laughs and just plain funny moments to make it a gem.

This is the worst movie of all time! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WATCHING IT! Enough said.

Who doesn't love this movie? I'd say Monty Python was at their finest without money, like the first season of the Flying Circus, or this, the first movie. Absolutely timeless.
