This was a masterclass piece from director John Woo. I was recommended by my friend about this movie. At first i thought this was just another action Chinese movie. But after watching it i really have to admit that it was a breathtaking action movie. The slow motion effect really caught me. A must see movie for action movie fan.

I´m not usualy into pure action and the "one man army" concept, but when it´s John Woo you can´t help to love it. The directing is different and great, a lot of slow motion scnenes and after all Woo is a master of action scenes. The first half of the movie is just perfect, i was ready to give it 5 stars but it looses a little at the end (still the ending is fantastic). Take a look at sme of the hospital action scenes, there is one special one when the main character and the Under Cover Cop is running through the hospital shooting, they shoot, go up an elevator, shoots, shoots, runs through corridors and shoots, it seems like nothing realy special but it´s all made in one scene, the camera never change angle. Even if you (like me) isn´t the guy who likes pure action movies John Woo´s Hard Boiled is a masterpiece and one of the best action movies that has ever been made.
