I have to say, of all of Ralph Bakshi's films, this is easily the one that stands the test of time as the story of a family line connected by the music of the era right up to the 80s. The only minor gripe I have with the film would be the same to most films like this. When you jump about different story lines in one film, some are going to be better then others and for me a couple of parts just are not my cup of tea.
