eight legged freaks ah movie about giant spiders ok thats funny ok now how many times have you seen spiders in flims like tarantula or earth vs the spider or the giant spider invation wich was crappy but its just one of those b-movie take ons but i hade to say this was ah decent flim it was good not bad its like old saying ok nevermind but in the plot it takes place in this place i have this one on dvd and the city is somewhere well it looks like texas but i dont know i hade to say this its good but its not the best when it comes to the last such as like other good horror comedy flims like the best of all it brings back one movie that it doesnt remind me of arachnophobia remember that flim you know the one with john goodman jeff daneils or any other cast but this ah giant spider movie you know its also comedy but is there any jokes well there some jokes there couple bit of gags and jokes but this isnt that ah good spoof on b-movies its more of ah horror then ah comedy but its ah horror slash comedy but i hade to say its good the casting in this one is great even though with ah little bit of ah bad script but i did like this flime well in the dvd theres this short flim called larger then life wich ah b-movie short about another giant spider if guys want to see the most funniest horror flim to ever be made well im goanna give this movie.
3 out of 5 stars.
The Good: some decent looking spiders and soild acting good short.
The Bad: the story isnt like ah b-movie there some funny parts even though with ah medicore script and writing it feels not like ah another giant spider movie.
The Ugly: it gets to dumb to watch.

I really like this movie. It's a throw back to the earlier monster movies that my parents grew up on. It definitely doesn't take itself too serious and the cast did a fine job. Kari Wuhrer has always been a favorite of my from the tv show...

I really like this movie. It's a throw back to the earlier monster movies that my parents grew up on. It definitely doesn't take itself too serious and the cast did a fine job. Kari Wuhrer has always been a favorite of my from the tv show Sliders and it's nice to see her in a starring role in this film. If you are in the mood for a comedy check this one out.

This was a movie that didn't really take itself too seriously and was relatively low budget (or so I read in an interview). It seemed along the lines of Starship Troopers with spiders in that it was pretty tounge-in-cheek. A delivery truck carrying a load of toxic waste (isn't it always toxic waste) gets dumped when a sleepy driver swerves to avoid hitting a bunny rabbit in the road (yes, a rabbit). As usual, a barrel of the stuff falls in the swamp causing all of the spiders to grow exponentially. The local isolated, weird guy who collects spiders notices this and gets a few specimans for himself. Obviously, the spiders break free, kill the weird guy, continue growing, and cause much havoc in the city. The movie's subtly non-serious take on the well-used plot is where most of the appeal of this movie lies. The local radio personality is funny as well, as he is an extremely suspicious conspiracy theorist who has watched way too many episodes of The X-Files. He is convinced that the spiders are in fact aliens and part of a government plot of some kind. The film does sport some pretty good looking effects, however, things like the jumping spiders remind you of the purpose of this movie. While not a great movie by any means, it is a good, cheap, rental for a fun, popcorn-eating Saturday night.

When i frist saw this movie i thought it would not be eney good but it was funny even thow the story is just to odd.
