An homage to Federico Fellini's film "8 1/2," "Stardust Memories" tells the story of a successful comedic director and actor, played by Allen, who wishes to stop making comedy films, and instead make a movie with more meaning. His struggle to find a purpose and meaning to life, leads him on a thought provoking and dream-like journey. Things are made more difficult for Allen as his love life becomes complicated when he can not choose between three different women.
