A boy is found who has no knowledge of who he is or where he came from. He is taken to an orphanage where he is found to have amnesia along with many special mental abilities far beyond anyone there, and even adults. He is adopted by the Richardsons, and soon they too realize how different Daryl seems from everyone he sees. His reactions to people seem lifeless and his reaction to computers almost seems defensive. He is soon taken away from the loving family by people who claim to be his parents, but they hold the secrets to Daryl's identity and his special abilities. He is taken to a scientific facility, and he undergoes many performance tests, and learns the truth of his existance. Soon the government gets word of his failures, and he is ordered to be terminated. Thus begins Daryl's fugitive journey for life and self realization while outsmarting anyone who crosses him, even the military and the government, as he seeks to return to the Richardsons and all those that had shown him so much love and care.
