Richard Pryor as a computer genius. That's sort of cool right there. Silly, and a bit stupid, yes, but Pryor makes it work. Richard Pryor is always interesting to watch.

Superman III can't compare to the first two Superman movies. This one is much less serious. And featuring one of the most famous comedians signals its intention.

I want to dislike this movie, but I just can't. There's something naively uplifting about it. Again, it's not a good movie. But it's better than it has any right to be.

In my opinion, the film is underated. Superman III isn't as good as the first two, but it is good as a movie overall. I love the "back-to-roots" story that this movie gives by having Clark go back to Smallville and be with Lana Lang. I also love the fight with the good Superman with the bad Superman. Pryor dumbs the story down a little, but some parts are funny.

This movie is ok but should have been so much better with the talent of richard pryor and the other great actors in the movie. Not the best superman movie but still worth a watch.

I wish the Film maker took Superman seriously like the first two, It would've been great to see other Superman villians like Brianiac, Metello, or Parasite. While not as good as the first two films, Superman 3 is very underrated, because it gives great background and comedy. I liked the fact that Clark temporarily accepts the fact that Lois won't be with him and moves on to his high school crush and the reunion was very good.

However the two downsides of this film in my opinion was too much slapstick which doesn't fit in with Superman and no Lex, but there are some classic lines from Pryor like when Webster says he hates greed and Pryor's appearance as a whole was quite good, apart from the over the top moments.

Evil Superman is my favourite part of the movie because it's very entertaining to see a different aspect of him and added a lot to the film.

Overall, this movie is one that I think is great but not as good a quality as the first two unbeatable ones.

That was really the decline of the series of movie. From this movie, Hollywood tried to make money and ignored the fans who wanted a good story and good acting. It's really dissipating to watch this movie when you've watched the previous ones.

The second sequel to the unforgettable Christopher Reeves Superman series proves to be fun. The first two films, which were written by Mario Puzo, took on a serious tone. Superman III is a lighthearted sequel that just had fun with the concept of Superman. Even though this film did not feature Lex Luthor, and short changed Lois Lane from an actual part in the movie it was still good. The story features Gus Gorman, played by Richard Pryor, in aiding the creation of a fake kryptonite that turns Superman evil. So evil that he stops saving people and even takes the pleasure of sleeping with Lorelei Ambrosia played by Pamela Stephenson. The movie also features Annette O’Toole, Lana Lang, who actually plays Martha Kent in CW’s hit drama Smallville. It’s interesting to see Annette play Clark Kent’s love interest in 83’ but now play Clark’s mom, that’s a weird twist to the Oedipal complex. The fake kryptonite has another effect on Superman, which causes him to split into two sides: Clark Kent (Good) and Superman (Evil). Overall this movie may not rank well with viewers who have preferred Mario Puzo’s serious writing, but I much prefer David and Leslie Newman’s light heartedness.
