This movie is very well-done, and I'm surprised how long it took me to find out about it. The writing is original and funny, and the visuals and production design are excellent. It's one of the best examples of 1980s science fiction.

Brazil is by far my favorite Gilliam film, mostly because of the dazzling visuals and the hilarity of Pryce's performance.

Simply the best film of the 80's...beyond the imagery and political underpinnings, Brazil is a unique expression of the tragic fate of humanity, we hate ourselves and eventually we will destroy ourselves.
