I do hate emotional, melodramatic movies. I do. Look what they do. They make you sad, depressed even. As if there isn't enough misery in our real lives already. I guess these are good for those people who have everything and are awfully happy. But I haven't met many people like that. Anyway, this is - like RT consensus calls it - an emotional, overtly melodramatic tearjerker. That's what it is really. There are moments of, not happiness, but being at peace sort of thing but they don't last very long and are not very good as compared to the "omg! the little cute girl is going to die, so sad" parts. The characters are played convincingly enough (actually very good) by all the actors, even the younger cast. Oh yeah, Cameron Diaz's character was very annoying at times. I mean yeah, I get it, her kid is dying but that's no excuse to behave like she was doing, just a total ****

Watch it if you're into that sort of thing... I'm not but if I had to do it again, I would. It's a good movie.
