Well I'm an Eagles fan so I liked this movie.Disney did a very good job with this movie.I don't usually like drama movies,but I liked this film as an Eagles fan.Mark Walburg did a good job acting and the rest of the cast as well.

An average but still pretty good drama/sports movie. I'm an eagles fan so this was a great movie. It's not perfect and it's not great, but still a good movie to watch.

The last minute break he did makes you so happy. I would also like to comment that I am so glad that bed scenes were not included and the sweet kissing scene can leaves you a tingling feeling.

Following a string of sports movies by Disney, Invincible tells the story of Vince Papale. Vince never really much of anything in life, as the movie starts out with his wife leaving him and losing his job as a substitute teacher. Out of a job with only his love of football, and more importantly the Eagles, keeps him going. Then one day he gets a chance to try out for the Eagles in an open tryouts. He makes the team and finds himself on the field. Mark Wahlberg stars, and does a pretty good job. The rest of the cast do a good job, nothing outstanding though. Invincible does a great job at setting the mood of the era in Southern Philadelphia, but somewhat misses on the actual football being played. The movie never really takes a look at what's going on between Vince and the rest of the football team, and the football sequences are quite short in comparison, and seems to set up the ending to have Vince make that winning TD. Although the story really is about Vince's life outside of football, of which it does a pretty good job of, you just can't feel somewhat knowing what's going to happen before it happens. Invincible seems to be falling into an apparent pattern Disney is making with their sports movies. Overall, Invincible is a good movie. For sports fans it's worth a look, but only one. There are better sports films out there.

I found it interesting, one of the players telling Papale to try and help the ones that were actually gonna make the team look good. If someone had said that to me, I would have told him, "I'm not here to make you look good." (hehehe)

But this a great movie, it inspires you not to give up on your own dreams; to go out there day after day striving for what you want in life. Don't settle for what you have when your capable of so much more!

GREAT performances by both Mark Wahlberg and Greg Kinnear make this film worthwhile.

Invincible is a movie based on a true story in the 1970's era of football. Its about a guy named Vince Papale who makes it on the Philadelphia Eagles Football team when the head coach decides to hold tryouts, since the team was doing so bad in previous seasons.

The movie is pretty laid back in the beginning you get to see how Papale lives and how he is the best backyard football player for the city. It has a very drawn out beginning about him and his life before you even really get to see any football action. Its not a movie meant for sports fans to see hitting and tackling..its more meant for you to watch one man defy the odds and become part of the NFL with no experience other than High School Football.

In the end i have to say i would only rate this movie about 3/5 since its a great movie to sit down and watch if you want to see a feel good movie. Its not a movie you would want to pick up to see some action.

Combining a solid soundtrack and heartfelt performances from Mark Wahlberg [Rockstar, Boogey Nights] and Greg Kinnear [Someone Like You, As Good As It Gets], “Invincible� is this generations version of “Rocky,� telling the remarkable story of former Philadelphia Eagle Vince Papale with realism, energy and compassion.

Produced by Mark Ciardi [Miracle, The Rookie], “Invincible� does a wonderful job of depicting the downtrodden Philadelphia area during the 1970’s, combining dark and dirty city landscapes and muddy bar scenes and factories, that capture the desperation of Papale and the people around him that are anxiously awaiting for a hero to get them through tough times. Playing the reluctant hero is Wahlberg, who many will notice has bulked up considerably for this part and fits the role of the rough, but caring Papale to a t. Trying desperately to make something of his life after his wife leaves him, the substitute teacher/ bar tender tries to make the team he grew up rooting for after new coach, Dick Vermeil [played by Kinnear] announces open tryouts.

Paralleling each other the entire film, Papale and Vermeil both have something to prove and lean on one another to accomplish their goals, inducing many memorable moments that are sure to have football fans and movie-goers alike on the edge of their seats. In addition to Wahlberg and Kinnear’s solid performances, Elizabeth Banks and Kevin Conway round out the acting in this film extremely well, providing comedy and sincerity with great performances as Papale’s girlfriend and father. While the cinematography and acting in “Invincible� is something to behold, the musical score adds depth and familiarity to a film that was already amazing. The opening scene of the film fuses Jim Croce’s “I Got A Name� with the dark, dismal streets of Philadelphia, making it one of the best introductions to any movie in quite some time. Doby Gray, Ted Nugent, Grand Funk Railroad, and Rod Stewart all make appearances on the soundtrack as well, making the music in the film just as strong as the cinematography and acting.

Overall, “Invincible� is a sure-fire hit at the box office that is destined for big time sales at theaters and on DVD. Disney may not be able to cut the mustard with their animated pictures anymore, but with this film, they have proven once again that they’re slowly becoming the cat’s meow as far as sports-drama’s are concerned.
