The story begins when Shawn has her heart broken by her married boss, with whom she was having an affair. Coincidentally they same day she decides to kill herself, by jumping off the building of a bank in which she works, there is a robbery. Since the police are already there to stop her from jumping they quickly pursue the robbers. One of them is shot, another accomplice drives away in the get-away-car, the last runs to the roof, to escape the police. The man grabs Shawn and holds her as hostage. She is ready to die and says kill me, they then make a deal, if she helps him get away he will "kill her later." The man is Billy.
