Out of all the superman movies made this one is by far my fav one, superman against 3 super villians that have the same power and strengh as he does. The most exciting and action packed superman movie is this one. Classic with a classic soundtrack.

Easily the best of the Superman franchise (including Superman Returns). While credited to Richard Lester, the heavy lifting had already been done by Richard Donner, who shot much of the footage used here while he was lensing Superman 1. The action is briskly paced and the special effects, while dated, are adequate to help suspend disbelief. Christopher Reeve and Margot Kidder's chemistry crackles in this film, and you can see the actors coming into their own in their roles. The supporting actors ably back them as they enact a script filled with priceless moments (Lois and Superman make love! Lois finds out Clark's big secret!), eye-poppong set pieces, and dashes of humor throughout.

As of last year there are now two different Superman 2 verison. Which one is the best? That's up to you. I really like both Verison the best. They both still have a great storyline with great action. Superman (1978) and Superman 2 are both the best Superman movie ever and I really as always enjoy watching Christopher Reeve play the man of Steel and Clark Kent. I think having General Zod as a main villian was a great choice. I also love the open credit music where they show scene from the first movie. This movie is really fun to watch.
