Unfortunately, the special effects are dated, but in its time this was a genuine blockbuster with some great actors. It's still a good movie to watch, if only to be able to judge the remake.

This is different than any other film, mostly because we see the Queen Mary (Poseidon) upside down. This movie has everything from suspense to drama, this film you can never forget.

for this type of movie beind done in 1972 it is done so well and made better then the one from last year i still think the book was better.

Very Good for the time!
This movie doesn't need a remake. For the time, its was simply a marvel. It still is. Its full of suspense and a great thriller. The idea is pretty good too. How can you make a bigger classic than this?

A movie that is great in it's time. when the tidal wave hit the ship and it capsized it was a heart stopper, thrilling and exciting. But the Movie dates it iself, When rewatched it didn't have the same inpact.
