a romantic comedy that just is one of those movies when I see it on tv I change the channel to watch it... addicting.

Cinderella has always been my favourite fairy tale and this version starring Drew Barrymore is definitely a favourite film. Brilliantly cast, gorgeous costumes, fine scenery and an great script makes this film a classic. Though I must admit I have a problem with the English accents used by some of the cast when the film was set in France. Go figure. If you haven't seen it yet, I urge you to give it a go.

A young farm girl whos father is dead and whos stepmother is obses with getting her older daughter marryed to the crown prince of france. But stepmummy doesn't count on the prince to tell her about the fact the poor little farm girls mummy has come back from the prince and is courting the crown prince, let alone the the farm girl is her own mummy now. In the end she is found out, sold and ends up marrying the prince anyway, then her stepmummy and big step sister go to work in the kitchens rather than America and little step sister marrys her dream hunk. The royal message carrier. Happy ending!

Drew as Cinderella is a wonderful fit, almost like the glass slipper that she needs returned. The setting is that in which fantasys are made of, so mystic. The old fable still holds true, evil step mother and step sisters try and stand in the way...
