When first seeing Daniel we see her as a child. Her father was just bringing home her step mother (Houston) home to meet her. He had gotten married while he was away. Daniel was so blinded by the love she had for her father that she didn't see the trouble that was ahead of her. As her father was leaving the house shortly after they all had arrived he had a heart attack on his way out and he died. Left alone and to be raised by her greedy stepmother Daniel was nothing more than a mear slave in her fathers home. Her godmother and her two stepdaughters roamed as queens. One day Daniel was out picking apples when a comotion was heard and Daniel stopped to see what was going on. She saw a man taking one of her fathers horses and became angry at this. She pelted to man with apples without recognizing him as the prince. The Prince was instructed to find a bride. He was unhappy with his choices but was inthrawled with Daniel who told him simply only her name... But it really wasn't her name it was the name of her mother. As time passed she and the Prince grew closer while her stepmother tried relentlessly to fix one of her daughter up with the prince. It was the night of the ball and Daniel was locked away in a room unable to attend the ball. She was broken out and set off for the ball. While she arrived the Prince was thrilled while her stepmother was outraged. She had to throw her last proverbial wrench n the mix. In the end like all fairy tales this too has a happy ending.
