A true classic for sure. This is one of those movies you have to see before your dead thats for sure. The animation is stunning and I just loved the story to this movie. Anyone should get entirtanment out of the nightmare before christmas.

absolutely fabulous! one of my favorite movies ever! this movie used to scare me when i was little, but now i love it=) Halloween & Christmas are my two fave holidays.

i wished i watched it at christmas rather than the other day. It was my first time and for a film study essay. i just didnt feel right watching a christmas movie in august! lol. not bad film apart from that and has some catchy songs too.

One of my favourite films of all, and battles close with Sweeney Todd as Tim Burton's best movie. Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas boasts a huge technical achievement in it's ye olde animation form: stop motion animation, and creates a great and imaginitive visual setting of HalloweenTown, that to me cannot be surpassed in claymation to this day, and tells a magical story of how our intentions in life are meant to be good, but how they can be seen as bad by other people.

Great deep ghousily amusing and dark characters (The main character: Pumpkin King Jack Skellington being my fav), and a great unique and orginial story make this film perfect.

Ok, Mr. Tim Burton did not direct this, the brilliant Henry Selick did, but Burton concieved a concept that is to brilliant for words. Burton AND Selick, what a great classic you both produced here.

Great songs, great direction, great voices.Tim burton is almost crying for not directing it himself, but Henry Selick does an excellent work. A must-see film.

Nearly 14 years ago a film entered theaters that would become a cult classic for generations to come. That film is "The Nightmare Before Christmas". The movie tells the story of Jack Skellington, the Pumpkin King, who is in charge of designing the Halloween celebration in his native Halloween Town to be scarier and more horrible that the ones before. After one particularly frightening Halloween celebration he and his ghost dog, Zero, discover an entrance to Christmas Town. There Jack plans to introduce Christmas to Halloween Town. There are many reasons for this films success, first is the story and its characters. The story's origins come from a poem by Tim Burton and evolved into a movie that's (although short) a relatively dark fairytale. The characters all do what they are meant to do, unlike certain films of that time which only contained characters for comic relief and not to build the story.

Next (and most importantly) the music. Danny Elfman creates a fantastic soundtrack. From the upbeat "Kidnap the Sandy Claws" to the slow ballad of "Sally's Song". Not to mention the classics of "This is Halloween" and "What's This?". Overall this was a fairly short film but filled with different genre aspects that will turn on any potential movie goer, thus pleasing both adult, teenage, and child viewer.
