The Tenenbaums are a family of geniuses. Chas had a head for business. Margot was a gifted playwright. Richie was on his way to becoming a tennis star. Yet as the children grew up, the family splintered and none of them were able to realize their true potential. Royal, the patriarch, decides to bring the family back together after leaving them long ago. Royal tells his family that he's dying, and all the Tenenbaum Children, one with children of his own, come back to the house they grew up in. There they discover each other again and, despite their eccentricities, start to become a family again.
