While this film is nothing outstanding, it is a decent film and to tell you the truth, I did enjoy its style and I can honestly tell you now, out of all the sequels to or remakes of the original Chainsaw Massacre, this film here is the movie that easily bares the most resemblance to the original. Instead of going overboard with muntedly "stylized" gore and nauseatingly boring storytelling and dialogue, throwing absolutely zero gore and some of the most shoot-ably annoying characters into the most lackluster and unexplained plot imaginable, stylizing the visuals and building on to the plot, or ignoring the plot and using a potentially interesting concept as a mere setup for extremely explicit gore, this film stands on its own while still retaining that brutal and completely un-stylized element utilized in the first film.

This was the film that should've followed the fantastic original rather than the wretched garbage that Tobe Hooper spewed out in 1985. 'Leatherface - Texas Chainsaw Massacre III' is a brutal, violent and reasonably entertaining film that, while it certainly has none of the terror or sheer brilliance present in the original, would have been a decent follow up had it been released earlier.
