This falls under the weight that so many movies do, a great opening that really don't fall into a second film unless you stretch it a bit.

An average movie that while not bad, just is killed by the first.

I thought this was ok. It had a good begining with a young girl feeding the Baby dinosaur. This had a poor storyline and the only thing good about the movie was action stuff. I give it 3 stars. And it is not better then the first movie.

The Lost World was not as good as the original, as it changed the storyline entirely. It was very enjoyable and action-based though, and it was still a great movie with a bit of great education about the dinosaurs on Isla Sorna.

The characters were pretty much all different than the first - except for the kids, Dr, Malcom and of course: Dr. Hammond. It was still a very impressive action film that takes place on the other island where the dinosaurs originally came from. Still, The Lost World contains a very strong theme and interest to the plot and some wicked death scenes. The dinosaur running through town was a crack-up, in a good way. That was very well done. The only thing that could have been better were to bring back more of the original cast, while bringing action to the storyline right away, which it didn't do for a good 20 minutes.

Overall: This second Jurassic Park film wasn't as good as the first, but it is well ahead of Jurassic Park III since it feels like #1, a Spielberg movie, but a whole lot of other reasons as well.

It definently wasn't as good as the first one but still a good dinosaur movie. cool raptors, cool stegasaurauses, and of course cool T-rexs. A well done movie over all.

The entire plot is bassed on someone's very stupid (thats an understatement) idea. Let me tell you what it is from my point of view. A park was made and lots of people died! Now there going to destroy this island but i want to see more dinosaurs so im going to send people on a sucide mission to go and obbserve it! See my point of view? So this film is absolutley terrible. This film is nothing compared to the first one. If you loved jurassic park and want to see a sequel, just see jurassic park 3. At least that one is a GOOD film. Still, nothing they could make could be as good as jurassic park 1. Farewell.

To beginn with, the story is not good. The fact that it`s suddenly another island is just well.....silly. Though the acting is pretty good, especialy by Jeff Goldblum.
And i`m a little proud that Peter Stormare is included, because i`m from Sweden :p.

A pretty nice sequel, though far from as good as the first one.

  There was no way, no matter how much Spielberg flounce was imbued in this sprightly sequel, that it was going to be as good as the original. It isn't. By a long shot. But even two thirds of the way toward Jurassic Park is about a third better than your average buster of blocks.

Even Spielberg appears bored with the script's lame setup, its quick evocation of the first movie and its wan establishment of human villains and heroes. Like any 50-year-old adolescent, he can't wait for the dinosaurs. And when he gets to them, the movie ceases to bear any relationship to conceits of narrative and becomes a sheer adrenalin spike to the brain stem.
