The oscar winnig movie A Beautiful mind leaves no-one untouched. Russel Crowes performance is superb, i know it won a lot of oscars but i´m not sure if he won, but if I got to choose it would be no question about it. The script is very good. Telling a true story about John Nash very well. The directing is the weakest part but it´s still great. Ron Howard can do good stuff. It´s a very strong 4 stars, it could have been 4 and a half but it´s just not enough.

This film screws up the facts, and Crowe's performance was overpraised. He does nothing but nervously move his fingers and yell uneasily. Anybody could do such a shallow performance. Connelly is pretty good, but her role and screen time don't allow her much of a chance to develop her performance. The film is rather condescending and extremely overrated. I'm not sure how this won Best Picture

The short of it, a well played drama. Russell Crowe does a fairly amazing job of giving us the 'tells' of a man loosing his mind. From the stuttered cadence of his walk, to the clutching of his briefcase. All those wild eyed moments, excellent....

The short of it, a well played drama. Russell Crowe does a fairly amazing job of giving us the 'tells' of a man loosing his mind. From the stuttered cadence of his walk, to the clutching of his briefcase. All those wild eyed moments, excellent. We are left to wonder if Mr. Nash became this way through his mind or is his talent the act of his already different structure?
The story is compelling to a point, but the long course of the years that pass do little to keep the continuity of the drama. Overall, a well made movie about the struggle of a family in the face of the only adversity that can't simply be logically worked around.

Russell Crowe is just fantastic in one of the best performances of his career so far. Jennifer Connelly, Paul Bettany, and Ed Harris also do a fabulous job. Russell Crowe plays John Nash, a schizophrenic math professor who is doing fine until the hallucinations become worse. It is by far one of the most emotional, and well done movies I have ever seen. It is a real tear jerker.

Russel Crowe gives the best performance of his career yet in this film. He plays John Nash... a schizophrenic professor who has everything going right for him before he is diagnosed with the mental disorder.

The film after that is about his refusal to accept that everything he sees around him doesn't exist, his gradual realization of the horrific fact that it is all false and his epic battle to gain control of his mind and go on to live upto all of his potential.

I felt that the story was heroic and the direction and acting was fabulous. This film deserves all of the praise it gets. It makes a person believe that there is always hope. That the human mind is a wonderful and powerful tool when motivated.

Jennifer Connelly is excellent in this, as is Paul Bettany and Ed Harris. The scenes where John Nash sees the numbers in the bunker, when he begins working for the government, is the scene that sticks out to me in this film. It's a good movie. 8/10.

The story of "A Beautiful Mind" was terrific and Russell Crowe did a fantastic job as John Nash, the schizophrenic professor at Princeton University. Beautiful photographed and well acted, this movie was probably the best of the year.

I had a little bit of a hard time with the story, since I've watched it a little bit at the time. But I kind of enjoyed it. All the confusion in the movie is perfect and the story is terrific.
