Probably the only thing with Clooney that I like...definately the only thing with Danny Wahlberg worth watching (Say hello to your mother for me). I love the action sequences with the gunfire and stuff, very cool how it's filmed all around too.

Three Kings is set during the events after the Gulf War where the U.S. came to liberate Kuwait from Iraq. There was a lot speculation about why the Gulf War actually even happened, many say that it was for the oil. One of the problems of the war was that it made no sense and the soldiers weren't fully aware what they were supposed to be doing. The Gulf War is also known as the rouddiest wars ever with very little to admire for the troops. No honor there, many of the troops partying and making jokes about the Arabic people there. Three Kings shows this, very very well. The slip of paper at the beginning of the film to tell what the Iraqi soldiers were supposed to do are real and were used then. Three Kings is a thought provoking story of when four soldiers find a map that leads to a secret Iraqi bunker that holds stolen gold from Kuwait. The story is great and refreshingly original from other war films. The acting from the leads are fantastic and with some great supporting performances as well. What makes this film different from any other war film is that it blends a mix of satire, humour, action and drama perfectly. Some scenes are really funny, some are poignant and thought provoking, and some are just really exciting. Three Kings is a truly outstanding war film.

Loved the mix of comedy and war themes in "Three Kings." I thought that the script was sharp and that all three lead actors delivered wonderful performances in their quest to find a stash of gold.
