Dean Youngblood attemps to make professional hockey team, when scouts notice he's not a good fighter he makes up by scoring goals. Off the ice, Youngblood beds the coach's daughter and his always-frisky landlord, he finds the courage to persevere. Later, after being a healthy scratch by the coach for not playing tough, he walks away from the team then goes back home for some farm work. But his brother does whatever it takes to toughen up Youngblood so he can stay in one piece once he returns to the ice and challange the enforcer who took him out. First he must get by the coach in order to do accomplish this feat.
