This just might possibly be the first animated movie to focus on African-Americans in a positive way that other animated films didn't focus on before. From 1937-1992, African-Americans didn't get any respectful roles in animated cartoons the way they deserved to have respectful roles in the animated movie industry. This is an entertaining, unique animated movie that is the first of its kind and really made it possible for more movies to feature African-American characters not just as stereotypes, but as real, living, breathing people who have thoughts, challenges, and struggles just like anyone else. This movie is funny and has got attitude to spare! So if you want to watch a movie with characters to both laugh with and root for in their various struggles, this is one movie you should check out and see. I did, and I highly recommend it for anyone interested in animation and comedy. :idea: Enough said! ;)
