Based on the highly touted video game series of the same name, Wing Commander tells the story of Christopher Blair, a pilgrim (a group of people who are prejudiced by the rest of the humans), who is trying to cope being in a fighter squadron right out of the academy. Blair is called into action to stop the Kilrathi, the enemies of humanity, who may have discovered the route to Earth, and the main Earth fleet won't be able to get back in time. While this may sound like a good plot, it's decent at best, but what ruins the movie is the acting where not everyone is believable. It seems like they're on a spring break vacation other than being on a military ship. The action sequences are ok at best, but they hardly do the movie justice. Probably the biggest letdown is the fact that even though it's based off of a video game series, it seems that the creators really didn't spend too much time trying to make it seem like Wing Commander was based off a video game.

Overall, you will be disappointed. Wing Commander is a big letdown, and if you're a fan of Freddy Prince Jr., you might want to look elsewhere.
