Air Force One, the plane of the President of the United States, is the next target for a terrorist takeover. After American special forces take the Kazakhstan dictator into custody, a couple of terrorists board Air Force One in order to have that man released. With help from the inside, the terrorists are able to seize the plane and pretty much kill all the secret service agents on board. The President, played by Harrison Ford, is believed to have escaped, but he manages to stay on board to try and help all the hostages, including his family. What you have next can be described as a sort of Die Hard in a plane. You have some great action sequences and a good villain in Gary Oldman who plays the lead terrorist, and in Xander Berkeley who plays the terrorist's inside man. But what keeps Air Force One from being even better is that during a couple of scenes early on, the terrorists seem almost invincible, only to be outdone by Harrison Ford. Also, there are a couple of cheesy moments when a couple of characters give themselves up to save their president. These usually involve their deaths being a little more glorified than needed. The supporting characters are also a little forgettable, other than the villains mentioned above.

All in all, Air Force One is a good action movie, and is a must see for fans alike and also for fans of Harrison Ford.
