Very artistic in how its shot and how its put together.
The lead character's journey up the river represents a decent into madness. The movie just gets more wild and events turn into chaos the farther up the river we get to see.

One of the best war films ever made! very atmospheric and brutal in parts, a great story and great cast! In my opinion Francis Ford Coppola best film! i advise everyone to see his movie at least once!
