Saving Silverman is one of the ways, a pathenic and lame movie that is just terrible. The Comedy is so overdone, many jokes are just terrible, even a child could make a better joke then this lankbluster movie. The director, Dennis Dugan in his previous work made Big Daddy and Happy Gilmore, had a huge success, but this is not the point.

Much of the soul and irrepressible cheer of "Saving Silverman" lies in the pairing of Jack Black and Steve Zahn as J.D. and Wayne, two incompetents on the far slope of their 20s who must fight the good fight to free their pal Darren Silverman (Jason Biggs) from the wrong woman. Dumb-ass buddy couplings are a long and illustrious tradition, stretching back from Beavis and Butt-head to Bill and Ted, Yogi and Boo-boo and Laurel and Hardy, and anybody who appreciates it will find these two a delight.

Wayne and J.D., who enjoyed sunday footman and worshipping Neil Diamond (They pay tribute in a cover band named Diamonds in the Rough and their shabby Seattle house features a shrine of dubious memorabilia they call the "hall o' Neil."). But when the lovelorn Darren, still pining for his lost high school sweetheart, with an unapproachable babe they dub "the queen of all hotties," something dreadful happens. Judith (Amanda Peet) is not merely a hottie but a demonic psychologist who takes control of Darren and drives him headlong into the realm of adult cocktails, fine Italian fabrics and relationship counseling.

The two nitwits concoct a plan to kiddnapped Judith (Amanda Peet), in a dumbfounded plan where it feels much like Bevis and Buthead, they succeeded on doing so, to try to stop Darren from seeing her. Also digging up a corspe, so that they can make a fake death for Judith, thinking that Judith actually died from a car crash that disinagrated her in flames (the most impressive scene that i have seen so far).

After the kidnapped being a success, Darren tear jerking over the tragedic accident, in a bar finds a girl who he knows from high school, Darren felt in love with her but still knowing that he lost her girlfriend, he couldn't stop saying her name over and over again. Wayne being the smart person, he is wears a chicken mascot costume to conseal himself so that Judith can't see his identify, while giving her some provisions. The plot is so deranged that its just lame and pathenic. Hey check this out, Neil Diamond guests' star in this movie at the end saying Holly Holy and the term gay still in used.

Overall, Saving Silverman has a lankluster plot and comedy is just horrible. It's so derivative. Saving Silverman tries to be "There's Something About Mary" or "Dumb and Dumber", just another American movie, they say. Saying the word term gay a kick right up your balls and a guest celebrity singer featured in this movie is just a complete waste of time. This is NOT a recommended purchase, really it is.

In some ways, this movie has its moemnts, and I think that it could have been better, but all the jokes were overdone, and of course, sex jokes were most of the movie about. I don't like movies that completely focus on that, it is kind of lame....
