I don't usually like WW1 or 2 movies. but I found this movie to be funny and entertaining all the way through.

There are a lot of reasons for the serious war movie lover to dismiss "Kelly's Heroes". This World War II film is obviously a product of the 1970's, and it makes no attempt to hide that fact. A silly 70's pop song plays through the film and Donald Sutherland plays a hippie tank commander, to name just a few points. It's not on the same level as other similar films of the time, such as "M*A*S*H"...this one is more of a spoof than a serious satire.
But I still like it, nevertheless. It's a fine movie, with a lot of classic lines and some good battle scenes too. The overall look is authentic...even the Tiger tank guarding the bank looks like a Tiger tank, and not just repainted USA surplus.
It's a fun movie to watch, a mix of all sorts of things including a Spaghetti Western moment with Eastwood. Enjoy, but don't take it all too seriously.
