This is one of my favorate films from one of my favorate comedian's Adam Sandler. The romance story is ok it's really nothing special to me, by it's nature it is really a guideline for the comidy in this film. And that's the main drive in the film is the comidy, 80's references as well as the chemestry between both Robbie and Julia.

What I really liked about him in the film is he actually was a little more low key, played a likable guy which you both laughed about but felt some sympathy for, you want him to be happy he deserves it. Two of my favorate scenes with him are of course the one where he's doing his last wedding singer gig and he's on a mental meltdown and he say's my favorate quote in the film, "Well I have the microphone and you don't, so you will listen to every damn word I have to say!" that always cracked me up. As well as near the end of the film when he sings on the airplane, it's just great.

I really like the constant 80's references that sort of make the film almost a time capsle because I was born in the 80's decade so I'm familar with most of the customs back then; from the soundtrack, songs Robbie sings, there are even little then and now in jokes. The only thing I think is missing is the 80's cartoons.

But also this film has some cameos where are just as funny and hit at the right times, from Steve Bushemi one of my favorate actors whom is always good, Billy Idol which the whole film was building up to his presense since most of his songs are in this movie I thought was histerical. But most of all one of my other favorate comedian's Jon Loviz, he plays the rival wedding singer Jimmy Moore his scene just made me laugh my head off he's practically a Tom Jones wannabe.

Well theres nothing more to say, The Wedding Singer hits the right notes.

I had heard great things about this movie and being a fan of both Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler, as well as loving 50 First Dates, a movie critics said wasn't as good as this, I really wanted to see The Wedding Singer. Sandlers character also was going to get married however his finance was a no-show at the wedding.

There are plenty of funny moments and also a few heartwarming moments in this movie. A good movie to watch if you're looking for a movie to pass some time.
