Tom Hanks plays as Forrest Gump in this movie...If you like drama, then this flick is for you. But Forrest Gump seems to get into an awful lot of trouble...Even as an adult!

I tend not to watch the same movie multiple times, but if "Forrest Gump" is on TV, there's a good chance I'll watch it. It's an uplifting story without being too syrupy or sentimental; a tall tale with a distinctly Baby Boomer backdrop....

I tend not to watch the same movie multiple times, but if "Forrest Gump" is on TV, there's a good chance I'll watch it. It's an uplifting story without being too syrupy or sentimental; a tall tale with a distinctly Baby Boomer backdrop. Tom Hanks and Robin Wright give wonderful performances, but Gary Sinise is a scene-stealer as the figurately and literally wounded Lieutanent Dan. It's a good popcorn movie on top of being an excellent character study.

From time to time, theres tend to be a compelling and tragic story about a young person who gots problems in the story. They usually tend to be tear-jerkers to make it cheap sentiment crap. But does Forrest Gump does that? Absolutely Not! Forrest Gump is a compelling and a imaginative story that gives a nice feeling to everyone. Forrest Gump played by Tom Hanks, was named after, a general of the KKK, who lend his army to pursuit the African Americans to get off their country because they were racists. Forrest Gump is apparently like Radio, he is a mentally challenged man whos IQ is only 75. Like the quote described, Forrest Gump always followed that quote, being picked on by bullies. Forrest Gump seems to be quite an adventurous type.

The story starts off when a young man named Forrest Gump is siting, waiting for the bus and someone was able to sit next to him. Forrest then tells his adventurous and compelling tale of his past ranging from now. He met some extraordinary people ranging from celebrities to presidents. He first saw Elvis Prevlsy, but he copied his dance in Elvis Prevsely's song. He then took numerous trips to the White House, meeting President Kennedy, in his line, "I need to go to the washroom". People then realized, hes a fast runner, and entered into Football. Winning games, Forrest Gump keeps on going even if he scored a goal. After graduating in High School, he was offered to go to the Military, as the current era, it was a Vietnam War. He was introduction by Bubba got is obessed in his shrimp industry. He was introduced by Lt. Dan played by Gary Sinise.In the Vietnam War, after an ambush, he saved everyone, earning him a Military Cross. After that event, he started to play ping-pong, and actually he was good at it, sending him off to China to play. He also met President Johnston, President Nixon and other famous celebrities. He also became a marathon runner, running across all of United States.

Overall, Forrest Gump is a remarkable achievement. You get involve to the characters, much more than any movie. Some people say that this movie is terrible, but they don't understand the meaning of life. Its indeed a pure classic regards, today. The ending was heartbreaking at its point, in the ending you see a feather as a symbol of hope flying away. This is a Recommended Purchase.

I think Tom Hank did a great job playing the lead role. I also think it had a great casting. I give this movie 3 stars.

I can't see Tom Hanks as anything other than Forrest Gump, which has caused me to stop watching his movies. Overall, this is one of the worst movie I've seen.

One of the most overrated movies of the last 20 years, Forrest Gump is an incredibly corny piece of drivel that trivializes history and wants you to think it's a heartwarming classic but it's enough to make you puke at the sappiness. It's also hypocritical, as it makes you want to feel sympathetic for Forrest, yet simultaneously makes you laugh at his mental deficit with stupid "jokes" like wanting to go pee after his meeting with the President and that he thought "coon" meant a raccoon. The signature line "Mama always said, life is like a box of chocolates..." is a stupid line that also is inaccurate, if you feel the texture you know which chocolate you're getting! I know that wasn't really the point, but overall, it was a very asinine movie, with Sally Field giving her worst performance. No, Sally we don't like you, heck, we don't even tolerate you.
