This film gets a 5/5 from me!

The first time I saw this movie, I have to say it was a little much for me. Luckily, I watched it a second time a couple of years later and fell in love. Ewan McGregor has a wonderful singing voice, and Nicole was beautiful of course. Choreography was lively and fun, and the photography was a riot to the eyes. The characters of Zidler and the Duke were my favorites and provided excellent comic foils to what could have turned out to be a very depressing movie. Even though the hero reveals at the beginning of the film what happened to his lover, I found myself hoping that it would still somehow end happily ever after for both of them.

Oh how I hate Baz Luhrmann. Had I actually continued to watch this movie to the end I would probably call this the worst trash I've ever seen. Only ever stopped watching a film twice in my life.

Can't think of anything to complain about here. Great choice in music, and beautifully arranged at that. Solid performances and sparkling throughout, this is instant classic, and one my DVD collection can't go without.

Moulin Rouge is a movie filled with music, love, beuty, freedom. Good acting and beutiful music. The part that touched me the most was the beutiful enviorments and the fantastic photo.

Ewan McGregor and Nicole Kidman are perfectly cast and the songs are so catchy and infectious. I had a smile on my face the whole way through this film but the ending actually had me in tears. One of my favourite films of all time.

It was a huge refreshing breath, and the acting and drama exquisite. The love story, so sad and pure, a missfortunate tragic and forever living tale I'll never forget.
