Kim Jameson is an overachieving art history student while twin-sister Kate Jameson, also known as Dominique, is a troubled model working for the House of Chambertain in Paris. Kim agrees to fill in as Dominique so that her sister can enter a rehab centre to deal with her drinking problem. Kim falls in love with Philip, one of the owners of the House of Chambertain, when he finds a remarkable change in Dominique's personality, but their new relationship is threatened by blackmail and Kim's deception.
