In a sequel of sorts to Evil Dead II (in itself a remake/retooling of The Evil Dead), our protagonist Ash, after defeating the Deadites at that quaint little cabin in the woods, is trapped in the past in medieval times, roughly 1300 A.D. He's surrounded by evil, low on gas, and in very quickly captured by the locals . After clearing up an initial misunderstanding with the help of his trusty 'boomstick', Ash must recover the Necronomicon(the Book of the Dead) so that the wisemen can send him back to his own time. Unfortunately, Ash inadvertently unleashes an evil doppelganger, who in turn summons an army of the dead, and must help the locals defeat the hordes of evil once more before returning to his own time.
