You will like this film. It's like Batman mixed with Phantom of the Opera in one. You don't see films like this anymore. This one you will talk about for a while.

I like Liam Neeson, but this part was just not suited for him. Okay, not totally true. He did a fine job, just the part itself was badly written into a badly written plot surrounded by empty 2 dimensional characters. Even his love lacked any really meaning or point. She could have been completely written out of this story and it would still have been the same story.
The 1980's special effects are just hard to watch today with the cheesy music. My heart hurts when I sit through stuff like this. Sorry, it does. I wonder if the director, nay, the EP, had any historical foresight before creating this 'timeless masterpiece'. I doubt it. This movie stinks of dollar signs...and I thought Darkman fought against greed? Alas, Something is rotten in faire Denmark.
