Robert Rodriguez brings us the second installment of the "El Mariachi" trilogy. This time, with a bigger cast and a bigger budget. I thought this movie was really well done, I liked the whole atmosphere/theme of the movie, and the lone guitarist/gunman is still cool. The plot revolves around "El Mariachi" (Antonio Banderas), a former guitarist who is lusting for revenge, after a drug boss kills the love of his life. Along with many bar shootouts, and action sequences, he meets a beautiful women named Carolina (Salma Hayek) who works for the drug boss. Now, the movie was really good, but I thought that the plot was a bit choppy. But, Desperado was a nice movie. Had some great shootouts, especially the last scene where the guitarists use their guitar cases as guns (Although, the case being a rocket launcher was a bit cheesy). This movie even includes a nice cameo by Quentin Tarantino. In a nutshell, it is a great movie to watch. 4/5 stars.

The best of the Mariachi trilogy from Robert Rodríguez, this one has more action and in my opinion a better story than El Mariachi and One upon a time in Mexico! this was released when i was in school, and i bought it on VHS as soon as it was released as i loved it! oh how many hours i must have sat for ages to rewind the movie ready for the next viewing! =) one of Banderas' best films!

Another great flick from Rodriguez. Two thumbs up.

Good film, but certainly not as good as the original one, this one has a newer cast and much better actually, probably because of the fame of the first movie, but still even tough the cast is great, it is still a very strange movie, and did not quite get a good view point from my part, I think that it was kind of weak and it was not what I was expecting.
