"The Little Mermaid" is definitely one of Disney's best animated movies. It set an example for later Disney classics. Great songs, characters, and spectacular animation are what makes this film a classic. Although maybe a bit shaky on the plot, "The Little Mermaid" in nonetheless a very enjoyable film, and one of my personal favorites since I was about two.

The end with ursula becoming the gigantic form of herself was presented awesomely. The sound effects of the trident surging with lightning and rotating the oceans's waters sounded so gigantic.

It seems disney movies and animated shows could get away with the mention of hell or showing blood.

I mean Ursula was stabbed through the chest with a boat for god sakes and she was stabbed in the arm by a harpoon and bled.

Ursula bleeding purple wasne't really a surprise,since her skin is purple. I thought the songs were great and the fight between the two eels,sebastian,and flounder was awesome.

Also the part with the shark they couldn't get away with now.

It's my second favorite Disney film featuring princesses. It's a well told story and the way that they didn't try to do too much was cool. The songs were great and of course Ursula the sea witch stole the show.

I really enjoy watching Disney Little Mermaid. It had a great animation, great storyline and I really enjoy the music. This is one of the best disney film for the kids to watch and a good film for the whole family to watch. I give it 4 1/2 stars.

I have forever loved the Disney animated movies (well, at least until 2000) and along with Peter Pan, this will always tie as my favorite of all time! I've always loved mermaids, as well as unicorns, fairies and such, and I think this was a great "Disney version" of the classic fairy tale. Jodi Benson did an awesome job voicing Ariel. I just love this movie, and can never get enough of it! =)

Sappy and predictable Disneymovie, which is to say like most of 'em. At least it's got nicer scenery than most, and still manages to entertain.
