"One of the most frightening films ever made."

'The Ring' is a stylish horror masterpiece. It's also one of the first commonly known remakes of a Japanese horror film, and while I'm usually not for that, this is the only time, from what I've seen, that the remake has actually been better - and this remake is twice as good. It's scarier, easier to understand, visually a lot better and just more polished.

A young journalist must investigate a mysterious videotape which seems to cause the death of anyone in a week of viewing it.

Naomi Watts is very good here, and the acting throughout is very solid. It, like the original and most Japanese films like 'The Grudge' and 'The Eye', doesn't rely on gore to deliver the scares. A truly terrifying horror movie and easily one of the most frightening films I have seen.
