I first watched Back to School when I worked at a video store in my hometown. At first I didn't know what to expect of the movie, since I haven't watched any of Rodney Dangerfield's movies before this one.

However, after I watched it once, I found myself laughing at the way Thornton was having more fun being a student than his son Jason and how blissfully unaware he was of Jason's unhappiness. It was really touching the way Lou was able to talk some sense into him so that Jason will help his father pass his oral exams so he doesn't flunk out of school. I also loved the diving that Thornton did at the end, it was really impressive the amount of stunts involved in it.

If you haven't seen this movie and you're a comedy fan, I highly recommend giving this movie a chance. Because of it, I have come to appreciate the acting ability of the late, funny actor.
