Lila, a young woman, is forced to hide and eventually leave society for the carefree life she finds in nature. When she's in the forest, she writes books that become very successful. Once she's famous, she returns to her home and starts looking for a man. With the help of her therapist Louise, she starts dating Nathan, a scientist who teaches table manners to mice. One day Lila and Nathan are hiking in the woods and discover Puff, a man who grew up in the woods as an ape by his father. Nathan decides to take Puff to his lab and transforms him into an example of elegance and education. Everything seems too good to be true except for the small problem that as soon as Puff finally has freedom, he rushes out to visit prostitutes.
