When i rented this off of itv i wasnt expecting that much. That is until i watched it. Shallow Hal is a really good movie with a messenge for everyone to learn. Once agian, I was inpressed by jack black and his acting and thought that it was a pretty good pick as hal. If you think that shallow hal is just anouther comedy romance, Your wrong. Its alot better then that

I saw this movie on tv by chance and have to say i really enjoyed it. Has some really cool funny moments and was a role well played by jack black. Has a nice story and is worth a watch.

Although it wasn't as full on hilarious as previous Farrelly brother's comedies, this was still a very sweet film full of likeable characters and several minor moments of hilarity.

Honestly, it failed to get to my expectations. It was kind of funny at first, but then it just became to simple. I just did not like the fact that she sees the beauty because in some way he is kind of saying that ugly people are the ones who are the sweetest and is not always right. It at least end up correctly, I really think that this movie was good, and Jack Black, well he was kind of good too.

Gwyneth Paltrow is the fat but rich woman in this movie and jack black as hal is the young man who is still looking for a perfect match. one day something(don't want to spoil the fun)happened that completely change his life. and this movie about that change. Jack black is awesome as well. Gwyneth is done a good job as well. and my favourite seinfeld guy Jason Alexander added extra fun in this movie. overall a so-so movie. Rent it.

Shallow Hal was pretty funny and had a great storyline. I really don't like Jack Black but he wasn't too bad in this one.
