It was awesome! Excellent Movie!

Oddly I probably would have enjoyed this movie trap if it weren't for the writing, the directing, and the terrible over acting.

Pat Morita does a great job of course. It would be a hard press to find him in too deep and out of control.
But the young Hilary Swank should have been reigned in by the director. There are moments where she's wandering about screaming "Mr. Miyagi!" where I frankly want to tear my ears off. It would have been okay, but this ends up being a theme for the movie. Did the writer actually write...Juile (screaming): Mr. Miyagi!
The story is old hat, tried and true, nothing unique and unusual: troubled teen needs help getting back on the road to humanity finds helpful guide to direct her, thus finding her own mask of heroism, etc, etc, etc.
There is nothing clever. There is nothing new, but I will have to say that it at least attempts morality for it's intended audience.
A story about someone grieving the loss of their parents could be a serious and painfully good experience, but this, well, it's trying to be to many things at once.

I can't say that this movie is in my favorite ever movies. It simply didn't had what you wanted to see and it wasn't as good as the first one. It,s simply a bad movie created to make money.
