Although the movie does not take the murder seriously, it is clear from the beginning on that it is not going to do that. A great movie full of memorable quotes and entertaining moments for the entire family. With a phenomenal cast, this movie really highlights some of the best acting of the time. Madeline Kahn, Martin Mull, and Tim Curry play their characters fully and really help the viewers to be encompassed in the story of the film. Using classic humor techniques "Clue" really is a laugh for all viewers.

Clue; the movie! I know it sounds like a really bad idea to base a movie on a board game. But in this case, it's really funny slapstick black humor that completely forgets it's laminated-cardboard-self, while still keeping some common elements with the original: The suspects, the rooms, and the weapons. Oh, and secret-doors.

Synopsis: 6 strangers are brought to the scary mansion at the top of the hill and given colorful psuedonyms. It's revealed that they're all being blackmailed and the blackmailer gives each of them a murder weapon. One of the guests promptly dispatches the 6-time blackmailer, and what follows is a crazy attempt to find out "Who dunnit?" and fully uncover the blackmailing scheme. Tim Curry's final exposition is a hoot! as he runs through the entire movie in 2 minutes, playing out every action and character. There are 3 different endings, and the audience can decide which one they like best. (I like first, third, then second.)

Stars: Tim Curry as the HILARIOUS Butler Wadsworth, Christopher Llyod (Doc from 'Back to the future'), and Michael McKean are the big stars, but the lesser-knowns are very funny too. 3 of the actresses are really pretty.
*I swear the cook is Kathy Bates, but the credits say it isn't her.

Anyway, this is a funny murder mystery with twists and turns. Watch it!

Wow, what a great movie. It was jsu t like the game and very funny. I never understood the game, but this movie made me sit down a d try. It was funny and very entertaining. it had me guessing the whole way through about who the killer was and i even, got the DVD that had 3 endings, so i got to watch it three times and wonder . It was great and so is this movie.

After playing the game for year, they decided to make a movie out of it.
And boy did they do an excellent job.
It kept you on your toes because you have to pay close attention as to who was the killer.
