jaws 2 is ah sequal from jaws now remember the movie jaws but you may remember the very end you know so quint is killed by the shark then brody gets a gun and starts shooting the shark he kills the shark is dead done but this is very chessy sequal now the story is takes right after the events from jaws one wich is the best but the only thing that keeps this movie descent is it sense of style the plot is just another shark attack but there is ah ton of shark realted movies that haven been good like deep blue sea wich was medicore and shark attack wich was godawful but this is a sequal to a great classic i know i want to give this movie a one star but there is some good acting with descent casting the story is just little bit dissapoting if you liked the first one know the movie isnt that super-good from jaws one but there is ah sequal to jaws 3-d wich were goanna get to a sec someday know the whole isnt that bad for a nice casting and some great elements but the flim isnt that good with bad directing director must been spending way to much time reading those terribly medicore fan-fics from nerdy jaws fans
(no offensive or anything) but but the movie isnt that interisting its self the ending was pretty lame but the whole reason your buying this crud is because you liked the first but nothing intersting for this sequal i know the word sequal has a e in middle between l and u but its still the same cant fight about it ok ok lets get back to my review the casting was good but the story is a bit of ah let down from the person that made this but the movie isnt that cool from the perivous speilberg flims like jurassic park and e.t from the point the movie is bit interisting but if you like the first jaws your not goanna like jaws 2 its little bit perdicble but if you like jaws 2 then you will have no interist.
from overall 3 and half-stars out of 5.
The Good: nice acting and casting good setting
The Bad:dissapoting story and lacks the horror that made the first scary as your grandmas back.
The Ugly: the shark looks fake and unreal the ending is a let-down.

Not as good as the first one, and I think that the only thing they manage by doing so many sequels is that people get afraid of sharks, which is not something really coherent. The movie was not that good, and I think that the only thing I like in the entire movie was the way they killed the shark, which was sad for me.

People saying that this movie isn't as good as Jaws, and saying this one isn't as good, just doesn't get it...With Jaws the stars were aligned and everything worked out perfectly and Jaws is a classic. This is a very good sequel. With the underling of Brody's paranoia about another shark being in the waters of Amity, makes the first half of this movie very enjoyable. Now, the scenes with the teenagers leaves little to be desired, as their acting is mostly bad, and wooden. Roy Scheider holds the film together very nicely, throughout the bad teenagers, with Speilberg directing, or Richard Dreyfuss. This is a good sequel, better than I would expect, and it gets bashed unfairly, for following a masterpiece.

Ushering in the age of the inferior sequel, Jaws 2 was essentially a license to print money. Indeed, the film did very well despite blatantly replicating the plot of Steven Spielberg's original, though to lesser effect. Roy Scheider returns as Martin Brody, sheriff of the small island town of Amity. Just as the beachside resort is rebounding from the previous movie's shark attacks, another great white is snacking on divers and water-skiers. Naturally, the town fathers don't want to confront reality and choose to proceed with a lucrative sailing regatta, resulting in a grisly loss of life. Besides the fact that director Jeannot Szwarc takes an impersonal, workaday approach to the film, Jaws 2 manages to be both stylistically flat and openly cynical about its commercial intentions. Of chief interest here is Scheider's performance, which wisely reflects the emotional fallout from Brody's last trauma in his obsessive behavior here.
