Interesting, I'll give it that. Not the best film out there, though I've never been much for love stories, and this is certainly more that then anything.

Overall, a bit above average, though not all that much.

No where near as good as DEEP IMPACT that came out that same year. It was to over the top and totally unbelievable.

Normally I'm not that much into science fiction but I really liked this movie. I think it had a good story and very convincing special effects.
The cast of this movie is just great and includes Bruce Willis, Ben Affleck, Liv Tyler, and some other great ones although they have smaller parts.
Although a science fiction movie it has its comedy sequences and romantic moments. Best scene in my opinion was Willis saying goodbye to his daughter and his desicion to save his daughter's love.
Worth to be watched and one of the better movies I've seen.

I love how they have managed to keep such a good balance with the comedy and the drama. It never felt like the focus shifted from the potentially fatal asteroid hurtling towards them but at the same time the few smart mouthed comments and goofiness made it all the more fun.

Bruce Willis is at his best in the film and he suits his role to the T.

Definately a film you should watch atleast once.

The only real reason to see this movie is for the eye candy, with a throw away script, and a cast that is really a head scratcher. The special effects are great. But, I'd recommend Deep Impact over this, in a heartbeat.

I remember when I've watched this and where, but the movie wasn't that good to be franc. It had its moments but it wasn't really based on a great story, only on CG and some acting. Globally, the movie was disappointing.

Not one of any of the actors' better films. Hokey in places and self indulgent in others, Armageddon tries too hard in places to move us emotionally and doesn't succeed. On top of that, you have to endure the terrible acting of Ben Affleck. Bruce Willis is...well Bruce Willis. You either love him or hate him. I like Bruce and he's one of the few brighter moments in the movie.

Pretentious, uneven, plodding, hokey, and just plain poor in some aspects, I'd still say that Armageddon can be a fun rental for a Saturday night with friends who want to have a howl and good laugh!
