In the 12th Century, life is not easy. Neither is the path to true love.Count Thibault of Malfete, one of France’s greatest lords and knights, is about to be married to a beautiful English princess. Unlike most political marriages, they truly love each other with all their hearts. In fact, the good Count has brought along his whole family and his rather inept smelly but loyal manservant André for the big ceremony on his future father-in-law’s estate. Unfortunately, someone doesn’t like the idea of the fair maiden marrying someone else…especially since the chump has eyes on her lands, her rich dowry, and her family connections to the Crown. In fact, he has employed some serious magic to do away with his rival. Unfortunately, things haven’t gone well for the rogue. The potion meant for the princess to drive temporary insanity in her mind and her dagger into her Count’s heart had backfired. Count Thibault took instead and he's now awaiting death for the shocking murder of his beloved. Luckily, André has brought some heavy magic of his own, in the form of a local bungling wizard. The spell he’s to cast will teleport Count Thibault back to the moment of disater and hopefully correct the mistake. Naturally wary of the mystics, the Count insists André come along. They drink the potion and the spell is cast as the castle guards start getting nervous. Unfortunately, there’s been a little hiccup in the plan.A real BIG hiccup.Count Thibault and André wake in the prison chambers, but it’s not 12th Century England minus a day. It’s 21st Century Chicago, in particular the Museum of Modern Art during its medieval exhibition. Things get a little tense for our heroes as they try to run from their ‘Hell’. Luckily for them, they have a guide in the form of Julia Malfete, a curator to the Museum, a descendant of the Count…and a spitting image of his lost princess. She has problems of her own. She doesn’t know about her fiancé Hunter’s plans to milk her rich estate dry or his very stacked secretary mistress Amber. In fact, she’s a sweet willowy thing unsure of the untapped strengths of her bloodline. Before the week is over, Count Thibault will teach his many removed granddaughter how to be strong; André will find love in the guise of the next door gardener Angelique, his own strengths as a free man (and the minty taste of urinal cakes); and the wizard will find them all to get them back to the right time and the right place to ensure the safety of the princess and the Malfete bloodline. Can our heroes survive this time intact? Or rather, can THIS time survive them intact? The automobiles of the City, beware!
