Galaxy Quest is a perfect parody of Star Trek and other sci-fi series, their casts, and their fans, lightly pointing out a number of quirks for humorous effect.

This does a good job of burring the reality and alien life, as the aliens have no clue that it's a television show that they were watching, not historical documents. It's a very funny movie, if you know about that facet of fandom, and about what these actors really go through (William Shatner, actually overheard the same thing Tim Allen does, when he's in the bathroom). The casting is pretty damn good, as all the actors are excellent, there isn't a weak performance at all, I particularly liked Alan Rickman's the best. Plus, Sigourney Weaver looks incredible. The special effects are also really good. This is a very good comedy, but for the parts that are original, the ending is extremely predictable, and that hurts it a little. 8/10.

Original. Funny and entertaining. A group of washed up actors are called upon to save an entire race of aliens. Aliens that believe that the actors are the real space heros that they played on TV (not understanding acting or pretending).
